I've been reading a thread on CM about aftercare. There were two schools of thought presented: 1) Aftercare is an essential part of any session, and 2) aftercare is all BS propagated by princess subs who like to have their dom running around catering to them.
I happen to think aftercare is important, especially for those prone to sub drop.
What say you?

For those that think its BS, I'd say for them to get a clue. Its not about catering to them. After the impact of what just happened. It can leave a scar and if the sub is prone to it, make them think its all they are good for. Aftercare is essential to remind a sub they are cared for, and appreciated. Those few intimate minutes of aftercare after a scene can make or break a subs confidence.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with that. Not to give aftercare is both selfish and misses the wonderful bonding that it provides. Failure to provide is the mark of the selfish.
ReplyDeleteAftercare is also important to me, especially after D/s punishment. It is an opportunity for my domme to communicate to me how to do the right thing and not get punished again.
